Ashleigh Brown

Ashleigh Brown, more commonly known among her followers as simply A. Brown, is a full-time wife and mother who spends her free time conjuring up poems.  Writing has always been a passion of hers, but she discovered poetry’s  power to express thoughts and feelings in creative and constructive avenues during the tumultuous years of high school.  Today she still uses poetry as a means of self-expression and cathartic healing.  Brown tends to write about the experiences that inspire her; anxiety, depression, self-empowerment, and even her past.  Her passion for writing can be seen in her use of long-form poems that capitalize on brilliant usages of imagery and rhyme to draw out emotions and drive home truths.  Her poetic roots are founded in such greats as Mary Oliver, William Stanford, and Charles Bukowski.
